Tips for Maximizing the Use of Your Wall Safe

To achieve optimal results when using your wall safe, you can follow these steps to ensure a secure and efficient installation.

Start by locating the position of two studs using a stud finder. While the exact horizontal positions may not be precise, marking the top and bottom inner lip of the safe is essential. This can be done by drawing two horizontal lines, one at the top and one at the bottom.

Next, use a sheetrock saw to locate the studs and draw the outline of the safe on the wall starting from the marked lines. Proceed to cut down against the studs until you reach one of the horizontal lines. Remove any insulation inside the wall and ensure that your cut lines are straight.

Once the hole is prepared, insert the safe and mark the studs through the screw holes on the side of the safe using a pencil. Drill out the marked holes with a drill bit slightly smaller than the shank of the provided wood screws for easier screwing. Secure the safe back into the hole using a ratchet to fasten the screws.
